THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE STAGE PERFORMANCE!
This live stage performance was designed in response to a youth retained knowledge test results study that was conducted across Canada and found overwhelmingly that youth were retaining more information and for longer periods of time when it was delivered visually as apposed to just audially, so the FNMI took it upon itself to evolve our 10 Life Skills Workshops into one live stage performance, where our star Barry is faced with bullying, addiction, abandonment, depression & death during his journey, and this is where the magic begins, because anytime the youth witness anything negative, hurtful or destructive on stage the performance goes into an open floor discussion with the students about what the abuse is and how best to resolve it from both the perspectives of the victim and a witness to the abuse, so students will see a real life scenario being played out in front of them so they can develop the tools needed to confront life’s daily challenges from the moment they open their eyes in the morning.
Here’s the best part, at the end of the stage performance after the community feast and gathering, in the same way Barry was carried off stage, he will be brought back in as the star and hero of the LIVE WRESTLING EVENT to meet his bully, abuser or dealer depending on the needs of the community and deliver a hart pounding Victory and message of GOOD Prevailing Over Evil!
But there’s more, all the bully’s & abusers from the stage performance will be the heels and bad guys in the wrestling event made to face the baby’s and hero’s or the Voices of Reason in the undercard leading up to Barry’s Main Event BATTLE OF THE BRAVE!

The days event will end that evening with a Live Wrestling Show when Barry our victim rises from the ashes and enters the arena in the most dramatic fashion to confronts his abuser from the live stage performance to deliver the most dynamic performance that will leave community members both young and old with an overwhelming feeling of perseverance, resilience, determination & courage to meet life’s challenges head on like never felt before!
